Unlike a winter garden (which includes a glazed roof), a terrace enclosure typically works with an existing overhead structure — a building overhang, a bioclimatic pergola, or a rolling roof — providing the side walls that complete the enclosure.
Our terrace enclosure systems use frameless or slim-framed sliding or folding glass panels. Frameless systems (typically 10–12mm fully tempered glass with top-hung sliding hardware) provide maximum transparency and a contemporary appearance. Slim-framed systems are more appropriate for larger panel sizes (above 2.5m height) or exposed coastal locations where the structural frame contributes meaningfully to wind load resistance.
